If you are usually a reddit lurker and are on here, it would be cool if you can try and engage with communities for a bit, just to try and get the ball rolling :)
I keep seeing communities on lemmy writing in their bio “not official” or in some way deferring to the reddit community. I also see them writing that they’re willing to give up their community to the reddit mods if they ask. It’s like the whole place has imposter syndrome....
Is how easily mods have caved in once the admins threatened to remove them. I had thought we’d see quite a few cases where Reddit would have to step in an replace entire mod teams (effectively killing the community). But it seems like that hasn’t happened at all - the closest we’ve got is mods being reordered....

When I put log in credentials it shows a pop up saying logged in and that’s it. The account does not login and can’t participate. Posting this from liftoff as logging in from laptop do not work.

Firstly, they de-valued upvotes and the equality that every user’s opinion had before they were introduced....
Most people aren’t even thinking of moving to reddit alternatives. Users have a lot of power in this situation. Just move your community to Lemmy or Kbin. It’s not that hard.
There’s no point in arguing. No point in fighting. Just walk out the door and never look back.
