And i am not aware of any way to specifically block the audio output of a single addon , via permissions or settings. So my suggetion would be: Install an addon that outputs sounds the same way. For example: addons.mozilla.org/…/notify-on-download-events/ and check if audio can be played back with that. Come back with your results and we continue from there.
