At first I nodded in agreement, that judges should not "look like" politicians. Then I thought about some recent appointments to the US Supreme Court, which had several now-justices insist that Roe V Wade was settled law (among other issues), then vote otherwise. So I say, let our potential judges say exactly what they think, rather than use deceptive language to deceive people.
