    Exactly. My friend got me into investing and 4/4 companies I invested in are in the red.

    Real advice here: don’t invest in individual companies. Low cost index funds will perform better over the long term for 98% of people with less risk and negligible fees.

    Not sure what you’ve got going on but in the last year everything I’ve touched has gone green except for 1 or 2, one of which is almost neutral hardly a loss.

    Costco alone got my like 20% gains.

    Saying that without saying what you own is useless.

    VTSAX, which is an index containing basically all US domestic stocks is up 25%+ YTD.
