The number one thing you have to remember when listening to the show is that Rogan’s a fucking idiot when it comes to anything outside of physical activity. The sad part about his show is that there is legitimate guests peppered in with garbage. That recent Tulsi Gabbard/BJ Penn interview was complete horseshit. I turned it off when BJ started saying asbestos was safe to play with. The Jewel interview from a while back was 100% solid. The beekeeper one was solid. The polyphase farm guy was interesting.

You don’t even need to remember it. He says that he doesn’t know shit all the time. I think he’s more surprised than anyone that he weilds the influence he’s credited with.

That’s bullshit, he knows exactly what he’s doing and he milks that “I’m just a curious dummy” thing for all it’s worth. It’s his excuse for subtly promoting garbage that he believes in.

The first time I encountered him, he was promoting a conspiracy theory and doing that “I’m just asking questions!” schtick that conspiracy assholes love to do.

Is that true? I remember an episode where this woman who was a doctor in her field called his show to correct him and he absolutely FLIPPED in the most aggressive way, completely unable to comprehend he could be wrong. It was gross. If I had any doubts before that about him being an ego or a misogynist, they were immediately dashed.

I listened and you are right about this clip. It is painful to listen to. It’s not from his podcast. This was an old radio show from before his podcast existed.

My first impression of him wasn’t a good one. He was debating Phil Plait (the Bad Astronomer) about the moon landing, and of course Rogan thought it was a hoax. I’ve heard he changed his mind on that (finally), but then there’s those disgusting transphobic comments he made.

Dude just sucks.
