I'm guessing Trump is betting on a conviction but having his sentence just be house arrest. And if they don't take away his phone, not that much difference than his current life sans touring. And if he wins the Presidency, obviously his sentence must be halted. Or just interpret the "house" as the white house and all presidential property or some shit.
"Check your privilege" has only ever meant that people want others to understand how situations and histories might be different. White guilt is a thing white people made up to make it about them.
It's mostly people who keep getting banned or keep making new accounts for some reason that fall into this. Or bots posting to generate tons of link karma but never posted comments and never got comment karma. It's to prevent those who get banned or bots from being able to flood a sub.

Incumbency advantage is huge. People have seen her name on the roles for years, decades. It's a familiar sight so it's a lot harder to win a primary. And the party is afraid a new face would win the general and flip the seat to Republicans. So it's "safer" to keep an ineffectual incumbent in since they can be controlled, mostly.
It should be illegal to pass or sign a bill you know is illegal or unconstitutional. But... Then we'd have to prove Republicans actually know the constitution.
