Sanctus , to Politics in Trump judge: Women owe us more sonograms
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

I’m nearly at the point where molotovs sound like objects of worship. Open corruption deserves open cleansing.

So we just swearin’ in judges at the crib now? Like thats official or something?

Sanctus , to Politics in "I've never seen anything like it": Economic analyst stunned at sources of Jared Kushner's funds
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

Don’t mind the libertarians booing you. Its obvious a society built on individualism and man-eat-man would turn to this. I still don’t want to believe this is the best we could come up with.

@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

They aren’t oblivious. They justify it in their own minds. Maybe I’m saying that because I don’t want to believe we built a society that turns psychopaths into gods.

@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

It meant we’re so entangled with this shit that undoing it would unravel the world. And every elite is drinking from their own glass, they truly believe they do no harm.

@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

I’m so sick of everything being blatantly corrupt. You can’t take a shit without it making four shady deals on the way down to the water. The rot has spread so much the cleansing flames would engulf the world. Human potential, wasted completely on profits and racketeering. It would take a global movement to uproot what has taken hold of all of us.

Sanctus , to Politics in Bidenomics Isn’t Working For Working People
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

Reality is everyone will struggle more and more as long as even an ounce of Reagan’s ideas remain inside our government. Its not rocket science, or some esoteric entity from behind the veil. We are too top heavy. Resources are not being allocated efficiently or where they are needed, but where the money is. Which often coincides with whoever is already hoarding capital. Until we address that our system serves the few and not the many, more will struggle every year until we are crushed under the weight of Momon’s golden throne.

Sanctus , to Star Trek in Star Trek Adventures project manager, Jim Johnson, discusses using "Subspace Rhapsody" as game inspiration
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a gane like this. It was developed by a group of students at UAT iirc.

Sanctus , to Politics in The big idea: is it too late to stop extremism taking over politics?
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

How did they find me? Oh, I let them in.

Extremism has almost always ruled politics and people alike. We will never rid ourselves of it. We must learn to mitigate it and develop societal systems that does not reward this kind of behavior. We won’t, but we need to.

Sanctus , to Star Trek in Jim Kirk on Pike’s Enterprise - Inverse dives into an analysis of canon constraints and lack thereof
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

It is truly a return to the Golden Age of TNG/DS9/Voy and I’m all here for it. I missed the episode adventures. The way Disco does it is not it with the stories taking the whole season and the characters taking a back seat

Sanctus , to Star Trek in Jim Kirk on Pike’s Enterprise - Inverse dives into an analysis of canon constraints and lack thereof
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

I’m all for keeping canon intact if its possible. But I hope they don’t get trigger happy with contrivances just to keep a line from the 60’s intact that more or less doesn’t matter too much. Does it really matter how much Kirk and Pike interacted? No, not really. But I can say I trust these writers, this show seems to care about Trek and what made it good a lot more than doing their own thing 100% (looking at you Disco).

Sanctus , to Politics in Conservatives have already written a climate plan for Trump’s second term
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

What is this world salad? Democrats and Republicans may be equivalent to the political coalitions and federations of the EU but it is not a great solution that they try and represent so much. Both parties should be broken up and FPTP needs to be replaced with ranked choice. I’m not shouting on the fediverse, I’m joining a discussion already going on lmao

Sanctus , to Politics in Conservatives have already written a climate plan for Trump’s second term
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

What we really need is an actual left party, not another right leaning party. Democrats as you said are center-right. We need an actual Workers Party.

Sanctus , to Politics in Conservatives have already written a climate plan for Trump’s second term
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

They already have environmentally isolated safe places. They will ride this all the way until we all die and they get to tell the next generation of humanity it wasn’t their policies that did this.

Sanctus , to Politics in ‘Project 2025’: plan to dismantle US climate policy for next Republican president
@Sanctus@lemmy.world avatar

Its going to get to the point where these things have to be forcefully dismantled. Everyone is waiting for these greed-laden Momon worshippers to change their tune, they won’t. They’ll ride this death coaster until terminal velocity rips their limbs from their sockets and their wealth flies out of their pockets like a damaged Sonic.
