Yes and we’re here to see reddit go down. Not only we can’t do anything about your ban but many of us wouldn’t even care.

i really did not understand and this. this mag is for migrants and updates on the migration, a literal hub for migrants from reddit.

if a migrant has something to say about migration, about their own migration or what caused them to migrate, anything related to the reddit migration it belongs here. pushing them away like this and making them feel stupid for making a post when this is now supposed to be their safe haven away from reddit is NOT helping

You’re right when you say this is for people who migrated from reddit, but someone creating an account only a few hours ago because they’re mad for being banned from reddit for something that has nothing to do with migration, can be really considered “migrating”?

I mean, “WTF reddit why you banned i didnt nothing”, does sound to you like someone being here because they want to quit reddit?

Migration is a real world metaphor. You think maybe there were some migrants who did it under duress?

Thank you for this. I think this community gets hung up on the "migration as activism" thing and forgets that there are other reasons to migrate too. Getting banned from Reddit for what one thinks is an unfair reason is certainly one of them. Heck, just getting bored and popping over to check out Kbin or the fediverse generally is valid too.

I mean heck, birds migrate back and forth. Maybe we should be focusing on building a place that people want to be.

Reddit is also turning into this weird police state lately about NSFW vs. SFW sub designations. Where which standard gets applied, is about whether you recently changed anything during protests. Wouldn't be entirely shocked if someone could get caught in a new round of hyper-vigilance. Not that I even bothered to read the OP's claims or links. I don't care and it doesn't matter.

My mental image of Reddit corporation and admins right now is all these Dilberts running around into tables in a conference room. Maybe like a pinball machine.
