FuglyDuck , 7 months ago To add; it’s to mask their own scent. It’s an instinctive habit inherited from wolves that we’ve never quite been able to get rid of. By getting smelly stuff on them; they can sneak up in prey better. Most dogs don’t even know how to sneak…. But they still do it.
