I think it is good to gloat a bit but eventually we should move on and leave Reddit behind. Let’s give a cutoff point, say, 6 months since the Hegira for the mourning period. After which, we chart our own path and don’t look back.
You know what’s really different about the collapse of reddit vs the collapse of digg? When digg collapsed, every post that discussed it didn’t have some whiny person going “Nooo guys! We shouldn’t go to or talk about the old place anymore!!”

Random people arguing over something minor because of a random comment gives lemmy that good old Reddit feel. We all get Piracy is illegal could have done without the condescending tone but you do you. Plex is not just for pirated content. I spent months burning all my dvds and cds so I can stream them without paying for a service I don’t use that often.
