I think it is good to gloat a bit but eventually we should move on and leave Reddit behind. Let’s give a cutoff point, say, 6 months since the Hegira for the mourning period. After which, we chart our own path and don’t look back.
You know what’s really different about the collapse of reddit vs the collapse of digg? When digg collapsed, every post that discussed it didn’t have some whiny person going “Nooo guys! We shouldn’t go to or talk about the old place anymore!!”
Who gives a shit? As long as reddit continues to be a train wreck, I am more than willing to watch on the sidelines as more trains crash into the pile. It’s entertaining.
