Is there additional information that would tilt the scale toward this being promotion rather than simple indexing?
It is simple indexing but other pedophile instances like burggit and comfysnug were removed from that list of instances to join. It isn’t a good look when someone is looking to join an instance and they see that one as one of the first to join, especially if they are looking for an LGBT-friendly instance. I dont want anyone to be fooled when trying to look for a lemmy instance to join.
