    The lack of "influencers" in the fediverse is more a function of size than culture tbh... As it gets bigger, then influencers will make there way here

    Probably, but most influencers, the empty ones that care not for a community, will be rejected on the userbase here alone. I am sure thereare certain influencers that will be popular, e.g. personalities out of gaming and technology, as well as people with nice bodies showing off their sexuality, but the common instagram influencer? I don't think they'd be popular.

    I agree. I want my content to feel like it still has some soul left in it. I’m not down for poorly disguised ads, blatant virtue-signaling, “funny faces”, or over-done reactions to very basic, common things. I want at least a little bit of good effort if I’m ever going to follow someone specifically on a platform. Life’s too short to spend it bored all of the time.
