Has anyone tried to install Gnome-core on KDE Neon?

I’m interested in installing Gnome-core on KDE Neon because I want to try Gnome, but I’ve read that having two DEs can cause conflicts between programs and create cloned programs, I don’t know if someone has tried and has experience to comment on.

And besides, what version of Gnome contains the Gnome-core package? I guess a little old being KDE Neon based on Ubuntu LTS.
