But somehow people still argue that since he hasn't been convicted and sentenced yet himself they can't imagine him being disqualified from holding office under the 14th amendment, which states he's ineligible if he's "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the (United States), or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

And, that's even after he's said multiple times that he would pardon those involved... See:

Not sure if they're willfully ignorant, straight up seditious or just unable to read their own 18 page constitution.
