They’re asking for a one time 5k bonus. Never do that, over a career you’ll be better off having asked for an additional 150$/year in your salary than a one time bonus which won’t count when calculating the next raise. That’s usually something the employer offers to shut up people who don’t know better and make them vote in favor of the new contract, it’s not something the employees ask for.
