Is there a way in to flip this behavior?
As in, I mostly revisit existing websites when I type, I rarely want to search the web.
I would like the suggestion to be first, and the search trigger last. Is it possible?
Can't find anything relevant on this broken web anymore 😅

Google starts deprecating older, more capable Chrome extensions next week

Chrome's Manifest V3 transition is here. First up are warnings for any V2 extensions.

@arstechnica Great time to move to , , , and others that are NOT deprecating V2. This is a shot at privacy and adblocking apps more than anything else Google swears it is for.

(and ) begins phasing-out Manifest v2.

https://blog.chromium.org/2024/05/manifest-v2-phase-out-begins.html

This means, among other things, that uBlock Origin is about to be disabled in Chrome. Google will choose a different extension to recommend but it can not be as effective as Origin.

Following 's example, may I instead recommend you switch to .

Firefox will continue to support Manifest v2, and consequently uBlock Origin and other extensions that can not be implemented with Manifest v3.

Happy browsing.

@kde @kde Guess what, Firefox does the same thing (a refresh will reset your privacy settings and your default browser, all of which affect Mozilla’s revenue streams) but they’re a tad sneakier/cleverer(?) about it.

(Firefox is not private by default so getting you to reset your settings is how they try to influence you to return to their preferred configuration.)

What browser magic can I most simply implement to hide the side menu?

Why on earth doesn't Firefox on android properly support navigate.share, IE it won't send across the text property and if you don't put a URL in there it just sends blank, even though the .canShare returns true. You can see various bugs raised and closed about this, a major reason to make people not use the browser and I just can't see why?

Also, some interesting @thunderbird trivia: In 2004, blazing fast internet access wasn't nearly as widespread as it is now, so Mozilla offered to send installation CD-ROMs to users for $5.95.

А все из-за рекламы, которую Яндекс активно продвигает даже платным пользователям и заблочить её ни какими средствами не получается (половину плагинов удаляющих рекламу установить не возможно, приложение Adguard спокойно рекламу от Яндекс пропускает).

Question about Firefox's Add-On Facebook Container. I really appreciate the fact that Firefox works very hard for us to keep our privacy online. However, I've realized that the Facebook Container Extension Breaks a fair number of Websites, which tells me that Facebook Tracks something like 98% of all internet.

This morning I tried logging into the Mozilla Connect Website and I was surprised to see that the Facebook Container broke it also. I'm wondering one of two things: Either Mozilla now is using Facebook Trackers on their Website, or the Facebook Container Add-On has some bugs, and it breaks random Websites.

Anyone else come across similar issues? Is it in the realm of possibility that Mozilla actually uses Facebook Trackers on their Website themselves??

I'm looking to create an "Exit Button" in the Bookmarks Toolbar. I found how to create a Restart Button (creating a Bookmark with the URL about:restartrequired), but I'm having a hard time finding for Exit (or close all Firefox Windows). Perhaps it is not possible, I don't know.

Any help is appreciated.
