Wondering if wealth inequality is out of control?

Well, Jeff Bezos made over $7.9 million an hour last year.

In just 13 minutes, he made the equivalent of what a typical person earns in a lifetime.

Don't tell me that the rich can't afford a wealth tax.

He didn't ''make'' it, though.
Loads of other people made it. Bezos has a system exercising various forms of power to take money off those who actually make it in such a way as he doesn't actually do anything for it except own the means of those powers. It delivers the money while he sleeps, watches tele, eats, daydreams....

From 1978 to 2022, CEO pay grew by 1,209% while the typical worker's pay rose just 15%.

This explosion in CEO pay relative to the pay of average workers isn’t because CEOs have become so much more valuable than before.

They've just gamed the system to line their pockets.

This demonstrating that pay rewards power and status more than productivity.
