HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in Which bartender do you feel was better utilized in their show, Guinan or Quark?

I got to agree with Steve Shives that Guinan was a better councilor than Deanna Troi.

However, I loved seeing Quark as a character more. I’m some cases, he gives great commentary on hu-mans. In other cases, he is great as someone who gives character to the station; Quark is that bit of shitberg floating on the surface that shows a lot worse is happening underneath. Quark is authenticly fake I love him for it.

HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in Manny Coto, The Showrunner Who Tried To Save 'Star Trek: Enterprise,' Dies

Yeah. It had good episodes, introduced the Romulans as the real villains they should have been, and showed how Earth wasn’t at full Federation yet.

HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in Star Trek's First Gay Ship-Mates? The Star-Crossed Romance of Garak & Bashir

Garak definitely flirted. I think Bashir played it as liking the attention.

I never took it as them being “in the closet”, just that they never overtly showed that side of their sexualities outside of flirting.

It is a gay relationship, even if it is just flirting, but no one is denying that both characters also had meaningful straight romantic relationships.

Will the hijinks ensue?

HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in What is everyone's favorite era of starship design?

Probably, but that isn’t the feel.

HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in What is everyone's favorite era of starship design?

My only problem with Discovery era is that the areas are made to be more spacious than TNG, which was supposed to be cruise ship quality. The design language is modern, but it feels way too spacious.

HobbitFoot , to Star Trek in What character threads would have been good movies?

It would be interesting to see an exploration as to how Riker transitioned back to going back to progressing his career. TNG pointed out that Riker had stopped progressing his career when he went to the Enterprise. It would be interesting to deal with his shift to becoming a captain.
