Of course! Thank you for your kind words! I was worried that this post might some ‘bloaty’ for this community [joke kinda intended, there LMAO], but i’ve seen a lotta nice comments, tips, and overall just a super nice community. even differing opinions being stated aren’t done with disrespect.

i feel quite comfy posting here, now. maybe won’t be posting myself too often, but i’ll definitely be lurking here from now on and replying when i can and have something to say. thank you for helping me understand that it’s okay to do this!

the point of the post really was to show what i did with my desktop, but primarily show love to the kommunity, kontributors and the devs of all KDE projects. i absolutely adore keeping up with this and it’s fun hearing about all the developments atm. super stoked for plasma 6!

Haha, no offense taken! we all have preferences, and that’s honestly part of why i love KDE so much! the ability to really make something that suits ya as an individual. <3

This is far too late of a response, but I’m glad you found it! I haven’t logged in for a while, but I’m coming back now. Apologies for not getting back! Ditto menu really is great. <3

Hard to explain for me, but a lot of it comes down to a simplicity factor. I love KDE, I love having control, but I also loving having a surface that I can just work with, yknow? So, there is always settings to go under the hood, but rarely will I need to. I tried to simplify my system using certain widgets and thematic stuffs. Sounds odd, but this is the best way I can put it, haha. I appreciate you asking!

Thank you as well! I didn’t want anything complicated, just a bit pretty and mainly functional. Your words here are something I’ll take to heart. Have a good day!

Thank you! I look forward to taking part of the community here. Been a big fan of KDE and the projects for a while now, so once I heard there was a Lemmy instance, I was pretty thrilled. I adore KDE and look forward to learning more and more!
