Because old cultural taboos are not rational. Think of how for almost every animal species on earth there is a culture that labels it a delicacy and another culture that declares it impure and inedible.
Interesting, I was not aware of that. Can you please quote everything I wrote that you perceived as toxic and let me know what made it seem toxic to you, so I can hopefully improve my tone in the future?
I was polite and friendly to everyone, just stated how I personally feel and think. I even wrote how happy I am for you because you happen to like ST and KC, so there is really no reason for you to get snarky towards me. Please leave your toxic tendencies on reddit.
Well if you know this musician and love his music it´s obvious why you are happy about the collaboration with ST and I am happy for you. When trying to understand my reaction please consider that unlike you, there are also Star Trek fans who are not interested in “Kid Cudi” at all.
Thank you for posting. I see that you honestly tried to answer my actually pretty rhetoric question. That is nice of you and I respect your kind behaviour. However - I still don´t see how this person is more relevant for star trek than any of us is. We all grew up watching it and we all love star trek. There seems to be nothing about that musicians connection to the show that would justify a feature like this afaik.
This seems like a completely arbitrary marketing campaign or has there been any relation between that musician and Star Trek in the past? No thank you, I am not interested at all.
