Was about to say - either that dog is AI generated, or OP has done an awful job taking the picture

So let's get this straight, after years of being relentlessly threatened, harassed, and retaliated against for attempting to hold up what little safety standards and quality assurance remained in their department, this Swampy guy finally gets a chance to deposition against Boeing, his moment to finally have Boeing see consequences for what they put him through, and he suddenly turns suicidal and shoots himself in the head?

Tell you what, if Boeing were expecting literally anyone to believe no foul play is involved here, then their heads must be put together as well as their planes are nowadays

Starts off reasonable, drives off the cliff of down right crazy, all for the price of a "competitive salary"

Th4tGuyII ,
@Th4tGuyII@kbin.social avatar

Yeah, but if you're offering an actually competitive salary, more often than not you'd just state the salary because you know people would go for it...

Especially because of the connotation of "competitive salary" has developed

We aren't against unions or organising, but anyone seen doing so is to be immediately reported to their manager's manager's manager so they can be fired immediately kindly defend their right to a direct relationship with the "associate"

Yeah. Kept thinking it was odd how many new plot threads were opening so close to the end of the movie... only to realise it wasn't "the end" at all.

Considering Trump lies (badly) almost as often as he breathes, I'm not surprised he lied about this too.

A lot easier to speak to dolled up actors than it is to speak to the people you know will boo you off stage

Texas Takes Attacks on Austin to New Level With “Death Star” Law ( slate.com )

The goal of Death Star is simple. The deeply conservative Texas Legislature wants to effectively deny cities—the state’s large Democratic-leaning cities, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin in particular—the ability to pass local laws and regulations in eight major policy areas: agriculture, business and commerce, finance,...

Surely it has to be unconstitutional to create a law which essentially inhibits local governments from actually governing in major aspects of the law?

Or is that the intention... To have it be challenged, and then sent up to the now rather right-biased SCOTUS and make it a precedent?

Unlike previous attempts at trying reddit alternatives (like Voat), kbin and much of the lemmyverse doesn’t seem to be plagued with extreme far right buffoonery. ( kbin.social )

It’s one thing to have differing views, but I’ve seen enough attempted reddit migrations to be relieved that the popular communities in the fediverse so far haven’t been about crazy racist stuff or other extreme right bullshit....

Yes, but the "censorship" and "freedoms" they talk about isn't about malicious censorship (I.e. Spez going around quietly editing dissenting comments) or freedom about how our content is used (I.e. Reddit refusing to let people delete their comments).

Their version is about spreading misinformation and hate speech of all kinds, alongside racist and facist ideologies unfiltered and unimpeded. They're malicious actors acting like victims.

We don't want any of that, we want all folks to feel welcome, which is why we have to shoot that down. To maintain a tolerant society, we must only be intolerant of the intolerant.
