@arstechnica glad I moved all my domains off gmail years ago.

If long, & mailing list, I WILL read it. Just not first thing Mon AM, little busy. If I didn’t want their take on things, I wouldn’t be subscribed!

If long, & from human, should read in entirety - have colleagues worldwide, AI summaries good way to fuck up by missing actual intent.

If long, from human to me, I abs must read in full.

This just makes easier to fall over my own words, or summary of them on other end.

Bacterial spores strengthen the plastic, then revive to digest it in landfills.

@arstechnica Fascinating, and more than just a neat party trick.

But these things can go badly in a hurry as well, a la Andromeda Strain.

@arstechnica I’ve contributed to and learned from the community there extensively. Not recently, but it was never “naturally commercial.”

It was geeky hobbyists coming to talk abt their geeky hobby and the majority of posts were on point.

Did we argue about whether to spend $ w/ a small company that made some u fortunate political statements VERY loudly? Yep. And then agreed to disagree.

Did respected merchants in community show up and weigh in? Sure. But not coml.
