@arstechnica people are missing the point here that the cops demand access to any and all things in the interest of “catching criminals“ and seemingly “forget” that that’s against the constitution and violates constitutional rights.

get a warrant, losers. do your job the right way.

Are Diablo fans getting too old for the old-school item grind?

Devs say players no longer want the "very long chase" for rare drops.

@arstechnica I have the time to devote, the gear treadmill just isn't fun to me anymore.

Social games like MMORPGs are a bit different, where at least you are reaping the benefit of playing in a group with others and having a good time even if your 5th time on a boss doesn't get you anything.

Very little player communication in looter ARPGs, so what's the benefit of grinding the same zone over and over endlessly?

Elon Musk: AI will be smarter than any human around the end of next year

While Musk says superintelligence is coming soon, one critic says prediction is "batsh*t crazy."

@arstechnica Simply look at the rest of his predictions and you can guess how this one will end.

Spoiler: He has the same level of accuracy as religious people predicting the end of the world.

Your current PC probably doesn’t have an AI processor, but your next one might

Microsoft AI API expands from GPUs to NPUs as they begin to appear in more PCs.
