They're referring to the other 3/4 of managers & hr who responded that they didn't want employees to leave because of return to office policies.
They, apparently, genuinely believed that rto would have some tangible benefits, or were just trying to make their employees lives harder for a laugh, and didn't expect it to affect headcount at all.
Take it to the extreme; most eggs fertilized in sex don’t result in pregnancy, they aren’t able to bind to the uteral lining and die. Anyone who has unprotected sex is very likely to cause the death of one or more “people.” Having children is now murder.
Every number you just quote from McD’s are still really low. The point stands that minimum wage is way too low to do its job. It’s supposed to raise working Americans out of poverty. All you’ve done is show that the current federal minimum wage is so pathetic you can double it and still be broke af.
Also… 1.4% of Americans is still hundreds of thousands of people. They matter. They deserve a living wage.
