The latest numbers show inflation cooling.

But rent prices are still high and are the main driver of inflation now.

Just so happens that recent investigations have found evidence of algorithmic price-fixing by major corporate landlords.

High interest rates won't fix this.

@rbreich pressure remains firmly on the Reserve Bank to ease interest rates for punters and pressure also remains on States and Territories to follow Victoria's example and introduce property/land tax on rental properties. If the Feds won't reform tax they need to introduce another instrument to control this volatile market.
