Security MSc. Linux, networking, internet, offensive/defensive security, comedy, films, science, and space flight. And cynicism. Lots of cynicism. (@realcainmosni; AKA @ChocChipSec, @chocchipsec)

Why "real cain mosni"? Because there was a bogus Cain Mosni on Twitter who had taken the alias I had been using, uncopied, for a decade. And why Cain Mosni? Read it backward.

Why are we talking about whether paying fast food workers a better wage will drive up the cost of a Big Mac instead of asking how much McDonald's CEO's $19.2 million salary is driving up the cost? Hello?

@rbreich I'm not arguing against the wage rise, but the maths is simple: the ratio of kitchen staff to burgers is orders of magnitudes lower than CEOs to burgers, so rather more influential on the individual price.

@arstechnica I know it has been the marketroid buzzword for the last half decade, but "supply chain" really is the biggest potential chink in the armour.

@georgetakei Solution - decent knives and learn to chop. (It's actually really safe and easy IF you have a good quality knife.)

OpenAI ends harsh non-disparagement agreements that could claw back millions

OpenAI releases employees from evil exit agreement in staff-wide memo.

@arstechnica It's fairly evident that Altman is completely Machiavellian. I don't believe a word of his apology. He's simply following the course he thinks will do the least damage with a limited admission. I don't believe he was anything but completely aware, if not the instigator of the dictatorial exit terms. It's typical of his playbook. His way, or no way, and screw the rules or propriety.

@rbreich Simple question: does funding the IRS get you more out than you put in? If yes, then it's a no-brainer.
