@rbreich Of course, oil companies, not Presidents, make the investment to drill - but only when the investment is likely to pay off. The market for oil seems to be declining, so I would hazard a guess that this is just another empty Trump promise reflecting his ignorance of the actual market.

If Trump is found guilty, should Biden emphasize the guilty verdict or focus on abortion and democracy instead?

@rbreich There’s plenty for Joe Biden to focus on over the next months. Democracy, abortion, bringing industry back, his job record, Ukraine, climate change (which isn’t going away), and, yes, Trump’s criminality and pathological inability to tell the truth.

@rbreich Chill with the anti-Semitism. We killed 3.5 million Japanese in response to a few thousand killed at Pearl Harbor. We killed 400,000 after 9/11. No one accused Americans of genocide. But Jews respond to a massacre by terrorists right on their border and the left screams genocide. There’s only one explanation.
