“I posed the question “when did Trek start consistently passing the Bechdel test”, thinking that it didn’t start happening until Voyager, which those hard-line TOS fans would never have allowed to be made (along with TNG and DS9).”
Which is why you don’t listen to the angry parts of the fanbase for your input/feedback, or else you get really bad results.
Well said. I actually think Prodigy, like SNW, has much stronger first seasons than the Berman Era shows, all of which were kinda weak in their first seasons and got better as they went on.
All Good Things is my favorite Trek episode of all time, next to Yesterdays Enterprise which actually also could have been a great movie :P
Yeah Generations could have just been a decent finale for TNG with All Good Things being the big breakout film, I think that would have worked far better.
Generations is a good movie IMO, I just think it’s weaker than a lot of the OG Trek films personally.
The writers on Star Trek seem to like to make references to where they’re from. Bozeman, Montana is the site of first contact because Brannon Braga comes from there, and theres a USS New Jersey in STP because Terry Matalas is from New Jersey.
