4 years ago, an exec for a top PPE producer testified to Congress that in Jan 2020 (as fear of covid began to spread) his firm offered to ramp up production to make 1.7 million N95 masks available to the public per week.

The Trump admin said no.

Wasn't it nearly everywhere similar? In Germany companies offered to produce masks locally when supply out of China stopped or was not satisfying. Some even did it on their own costs. And half a year or a year later when gov. organisations did invite for tenders to fill up stocks again, guess who won these then? 🤔
Yeeaah, you're right! 👍 Of course the Chinese again because they were cheapest!
You know, I can't eat as much as I'd like to 🤮🤮🤮!!!
