Americans learned Wednesday morning the rate of inflation nationally has dropped dramatically, to just 3% annually, down from over 9% one year ago.But not in Florida, which MarketWatch reports “has the highest inflation in the U.S.”For much of the year, even before his presidential campaign official...
“Florida’s inflation rates are skyrocketing and the state now leads the nation thanks mostly to the rising cost of housing,” NBC Miami reports Wednesday.
In fact, many reports point to housing prices, which shot up 55% in Florida since the start of the pandemic, compared to 40% nationwide, CBS noted.
Makes you wonder why people keep moving to Florida.
Iowa Republicans, following Gov. Kim Reynolds’ (R) lead, passed a six-week abortion ban late Tuesday night after completing the entire legislative process in a one-day special session.
Buttigieg commented on the “strangeness” of DeSantis proving his definitely, honestly, very real manhood by featuring alongside “oiled-up, shirtless bodybuilders”, while adding that the explicitly homophobic, transphobic, and bigoted energy from the ad is reprehensible.
“I just don’t understand the mentality of somebody who gets up in the morning, thinking that he’s going to prove his worth by competing over who can make life hardest for a hard-hit community,” he said.
I think it's called depression. You let it go untreated, and you'll slowly turn into Kanye West.

Lower-income workers were the chief beneficiaries of Biden policies and the general economic environment in recent years. Those earning an average of $12.50 an hour recorded a gain of 6% after inflation from 2020 through 2022, Politico’s Victoria Guida reports.
This may seem like a paradox, but the better off people are the less likely they are to appreciate it. Meanwhile, Republicans have escalated their war on progress to keep people living in bitterness and resentment which blinds people to the reality of them being better off.
The electric car bill, SB 284, sponsored by Sen. Jason Brodeur, R-Lake Mary, would have required all state and local governments, colleges and universities to buy vehicles based on their lowest lif…
It was only a few years ago that DeSantis touted the benefits of electric cars at a news conference announcing the construction of EV charging stations at rest stops along Florida’s Turnpike.
“It’s amazing how much cheaper it is to just charge a vehicle than to fill up a gas tank,” DeSantis said at the time. “And so as technology evolves, we hope that that’ll be reflected in people’s pocketbooks. So we want to make sure we have the infrastructure in place to make that a reality.”
I wonder what changed.
Eskamani said DeSantis also has put personal politics first with culture war laws such as sexual orientation in schools, banning gay-themed books and drag shows, and making it harder for unions to collect dues.
She and other Democrats have pointed out problems such as soaring insurance premiums and a spike in housing costs that go unsolved.
“Not a single part of his agenda that passed is helping Floridians,” she said. “His agenda is tailored to the needs of Republican [primary and caucus voters].”
Oh, I see. Republicans are busy abusing themselves and blaming it on others.
I wonder how many children these "conservative" groomers have already brainwashed into their organization (which we happen to know for a fact is filled with pedophiles)?
They can't import cheap labor from other countries (gotta beat that neo-Nazi anti-outsider drum), so "conservatives" really have no choice but to enslave their "beloved" children in death camps like that. It really is a shame.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has endorsed President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, a sign of the president’s strength in uniting his party to have the backing of one of its most liberal members.
That would be fabulous, actually. Unfortunately, boomers have already gone full mask-off Nazi and have sabotaged every attempt we make at making this world a place worth living in.
Most of these extremist-linked attacks are from far-right extremists, and the vast majority of deaths are caused by shootings. Yet when we talk about gun violence in the U.S., far-right extremism is rarely the primary focus of discussion, with mental illness and gun control dominating the conversation.
I think we can safely include political extremism as a form of mental illness.

When people complain about crashes, that is usually the first thing that springs to mind. Of course, your hardware is fairly new, so I think you should be good in that respect. The problem might just be a Xwayland/Gnome thing, now that I think about it.
In November 2020, Joe Biden defeated Trump by 306 electoral college votes to 232, resulting in him being inaugurated as president the following January. Trump is continuing to insist the contest was "rigged" against him, though this claim has been repeatedly dismissed in court and by independent legal and election experts.
It turns out that making repeated false claims is a stupid business decision. Amazing, that anyone still thinks of Trump as a business genius.
Maybe start by actually giving a damn what people think. Is that even possible for a conservative?
How about you stop playing the victim all the time (while abusing yourself and pretending that it's the guy you oppose) and actually stand for something (other than your own mindless survival)?
