I can't help with a solution, but I can say that if I set my view to subscribed, I only see my subscribed instances and nothing else, no matter how many times I page down. I can't find a setting or anything that should conflict with it. Do you have any scripts/extensions that might be somehow pulling in anything extra? I can't think of any I've seen like that, they've all been appearance-based.
Thanks for the response. I don’t have anything out of the ordinary, I think (certainly no custom scripts). I‘m a casual user with a regular Chrome browser in default settings.
It seems to be my account. I have the same issue when logging in on my phone.
The theme options in the sidebar allow me to "enable top bar" but when I do, aside from the standard-seeming "All", "Subscribed" etc, this top bar lists a bunch of seemingly random mags. Is there a way to customize what's up there? Or at least set it to list my subscribed? as-is it's a bunch of mags I have no interest in
I think the "-porn" suffix is part of the internet vernacular now. We'll probably be calling porn pornporn at some point. We're stuck with it just like we're stuck with "-gate"
I think you are over conflating "reddit-isms" and "internet-isms". Reddit is where stuff like this has been most prominent for a while - but the whole funny naming thing has been around since the birth of the internet.
Most people heard about Lemmy on reddit, and heard about kbin on lemmy, possibly after they already made an account.
Im not going to not interact with Lemmy because of its developers but it was enough I decided id rather not be tied exclusively to their tankie ass politics.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this. I created a magazine and I would like to add an image/banner to it, but I don't know how. I tried just using markdown to include the image in the description, but that just adds the hyperlink. Am I missing something?
