I have never been so certain that I am the target demographic. This is my jam.

Kbin doesn't respect my subscription feed anymore or I don't understand it. ( kbin.social )

A few days ago when I was using /sub I only saw the magazines that I subscribed to. This seems like the intended behavior. But now I see threads from all kinds of magazines plus the ones subscribed under /sub. How can I hide the magazines I am not subscribed to from the subscribed threads view?...

Thanks for the response. I don’t have anything out of the ordinary, I think (certainly no custom scripts). I‘m a casual user with a regular Chrome browser in default settings.

It seems to be my account. I have the same issue when logging in on my phone.

I think I was able to narrow it down and it feels like a bug.

The subscribed threads view has an additional filter option: all, links, articles, photos, videos. When choosing links or videos my subscriptions are respected. When choosing any of the other three filters my subscriptions are not respected.

Solution: I had somehow subscribed to the DOMAIN kbin.social by mistake. I didn’t even know this was possible. This took a long time figuring out because domain subscriptions can only be seen from the settings page, not from the public facing profile page.

Fully agreed, and thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. I don't remember how I did it. I think I wanted to subscribe to the magazin kbin and ended up subscribing to the whole domain, too (the timing fits).

While the mistake is certainly on my part, from a usability point of view it would have helped if the two separate subscription lists profile>subscriptions (some features) and settings>subscriptions (all features) would be consolidated into one single list.
