    I live in Florida (native), and I’m looking to sell my house and be out sometime in the beginning of next year. This place has gotten ridiculous.

    Good for you! Almost everywhere in the US is a better place to live.

    And a bonus is that your house won’t be underwater in 50 years!

    You should be doing that any way, Florida is going to be under water. There’s a reason why insurance companies are pulling out of Florida.

    So far, that is mostly to do with hurricanes and the requirement that insurers replace roofs (even if there is shoddy evidence that they were damaged in a hurricane).

    In the future, the state flooding will definitely be added to a list.
