I literally just wanted to esign a document the other day, and in order to get the functionality I wanted ONE TIME, I had to create an account, give them my credit card info for a free trial, let Acrobat Reader download all the other functionality I didn’t need, which took 10 minutes. The program crashed, buttons didn’t work, it didn’t save the first time.

I fucking hate Adobe.

What’s a good PDF editor that does e-signatures that I don’t have to pay a long-term subscription for? Foxit is nice, but requires a subscription.

I saw a video on YouTube of a celebrity (an actress who’s name I can’t remember) doing a walkthrough of her house and pointed out her reading room.

She literally said how weird it was that her and her friends would sit around and read. “Like who even reads anyway?” She said.

There are also other disappointing ones like refusing to see the Barbie movie and that so many think saying “black lives matter” is a red flag.

The alternative to the latter is that you don’t think black lives matter, which is the real red flag.

I really wish we could give teachers some semblance of independence back in their classrooms. Firing her just for using an unapproved version of an approved novel is ridiculous.

I think it’s mostly that people assume men are bad caretakers and can’t handle a child. It’s partly that they are impressed by the fact that you’re not totally inept, but also that they need to do their part to make sure that dad doesn’t screw up with the child.

The “men are inept in the home” narrative is pervasive throughout all media, even things as inane as product commercials on TV.

    I’m not arguably the most powerful person in government playing at best an obstructionist role and at worst actively destroying the freedoms of the people I’m supposed to serve.

    He doesn’t deserve any kind of sympathy and the world would be a better place without him. If we’re going to do better as a society, we have to call out the hatred and despicable behavior. Not by pretending we care about those knowingly and willingly destrying people’s lives.

    It feels that at this point, the ruling class has gotten so good at giving us just enough to keep us from outright revolution. It’s little bonuses here and there, it’s providing just enough to keep us afloat long enough to get through the next election, it’s information manipulation to have us arguing with each other rather than focusing our anger on them.
