arrr are you ready kids?

reddig33 ,

Whoever buys it will probably just fill the network with cheap reality trash like they did over at hbo/max.

Stories like these drive me nuts - “hypothetical thing could have a hypothetical effect”.

Wake me when such a buyout actually happens, y’know?

EmpathicVagrant ,

Yeah no kidding. Their app is useless and I’m not paying for trash even if it has the only show I like consistently. I’ll buy a box set instead of streaming it now.

alucard ,

No joke. I subscribe and the app doesn’t work on my AppleTV and hasn’t for months. So I subscribe and then pirate content so I can watch what I pay for. Hoping that my contribution leads to more Trek being made. Just typing this hurts. Smh.

EmpathicVagrant ,

I don’t really know how all that’s done, I’m rather unlearned in tech so I respect your way.

I’m sure more will be made, we may just have to wait for another season from another producer in a few more decades once the current sets are through. Probably about 8years after our equivalent of the Bell Riots we’ll see a whole new style of the show.

NoneYa ,

Your intentions are good, but just know that they are also counting who watches the content on their platform and they get the most purest numbers on this new platform since they have created it and manage it more than when it was on network or cable.

Your paid subscription to P+ doesn’t necessarily tell them you want more Star Trek, because you could be someone who forgot to unsubscribe, Halo, NCIS, or anything else.

km3k ,

Subscribe through an Amazon channel. The Amazon Video app works way better then the P+ app on all platforms.
