Because people cannot like you and you still feel obligated to earn your paycheck and you have honor. Unlike the dip shits you are quitting from because they are drunken assholes that can't see past their whiney little emergencies.

It looks like they are suing them. Let's hope they take as long as they take with Trump. I am also not sure if suing them makes them financially liable or removes the stature? The article doesn't say much other than lobbyists (fuckin waste of space) are suing the FTC.

Yes. It's an appeal. However it's still on the company to provide just cause for it to be removed. The way I am reading the mechanism it still favors the workers unless the company can provide just cause. It seems a NDA is more fitting in almost all cases.

It's been issued by the FTC. I'm not sure if the courts are the mechanism to challenge this. Maybe in implementation. But not so much in overturning the policy.

I can hear you with certain breeds if it comes with health concerns. Like the French bulldog. But all pets are cute to their owners. What's the problem if we find them cute and they suit what we consider cute? Like we feed them and take care of them. It's far worse to treat em like crap. It's a mutual benefit. They have a secure life with us.

I took a course in eco biology. And we are already slowing down. There is a maximum capacity of a species and I think many places are fully aware of it and have chosen to hold back. I could quote it, but this was a few years ago. There has to be someone on Lemmy that knows more than me on the subject.

Yea. Because organized response to the problem isn’t as effective as jail time. You can dismiss violence or gaslight anyone and make it about that rather than the issue.

It’s almost like they thought about it and had an equally proactive response that was tailored exactly to Starbucks. How dare we think it’s less than!

My point is that they did. Back when there was a sense of accomplishment that added to the human existence. There was a sense of pride to a lot of workers in the 50s for many reasons. I do agree that it has changed. And a lot of it has to do with the rewards given. But they still exist.

@GladiusB@lemmy.world avatar

This is a hot take. People have definitely wanted to work. The problem is now we don’t need to. There was a point that humans needed to work or we would not evolve as a species. There are many that took pride in being a part of that. Now that need has shifted into we could feasibly feed and shelter every soul on the planet and a few greedy fucks don’t know how to coordinate it with all their riches.
