@rbreich It completely depends on mental elasticity. Sanders is old, but he is still sound. Frankly, if he were running today, I’d vote for him still - age notwithstanding.

I don’t care how old (or not) you are. If you cannot adapt to the times - if your mindset is stuck in decades’s old assumptions (Biden, Obama, Clinton), then you are too old.

We have been in change-year politics since 2015. If the Democratic Elite can’t adapt to the needs of the current generations, they are too old.

@rbreich Since I can’t read the rest: YES. Yes there should be an open convention.

The Democrats pearl-clutching over something that happened over 50 years ago is killing the Party. The superdelegate system is an abomination, stacked with corporate lobbyists. This is why the Party can’t gain traction - it has shut out the voice of their constituents.

Anointing pre-selected candidates through the farce of the primaries is what got us Trump, and got us here.

The DNC has got to get over 1968.

@rbreich The Democrats allowing AIPAC to target an incumbent and unseat him when it is critical to hold every seat in the House, and now released NY16 to be won by a Republican instead of leveraging incumbent headwind tells me we’re screwed.

The Democrats would rather Republicans win than any Progressive voice their opinion.

Latimer will not carry NY16. Republicans never vote for Republican Lite. AIPAC has no need to support Latimer anymore: he did his job. He silenced Bowman

We’re screwed.

Nature interrupted: Impact of the US-Mexico border wall on wildlife

Scientists are working to understand how the barrier is affecting the area’s biodiversity.

@arstechnica The border wall is the most embarrassing waste of taxpayer dollars I have ever seen.

I would rather the $5,000 toilet seats.

And, you know, not having the US f*** around with central and South American countries so the folks there don’t feel a need to escape their own country due to US destabilization efforts in those regions.

@rbreich Yes.

I am sure you are well aware of https://www.project2025.org but this seems to be buried under various algorithms. Project 2025’s goals need to be presented as clearly and concisely as possible so people can grasp what is at stake.

It's your turn to be a political strategist.

If Trump is found guilty, should Biden emphasize the guilty verdict or focus on abortion and democracy instead?

atanae ,
@atanae@gamepad.club avatar

@rbreich It depends on the demographic and the political landscape Biden is trying to convince to his side.

There is no one-size-fits-all. Biden’s weakness is he still thinks like politics works like the 1990s when there are now 3 generations of voters fed up with “as usual” politics, refuse to be complicit in “lesser evil” voting.

The Establishment can no longer control the narrative. Knowledge, like nature, will always find a way. Biden’s/The DNC’s consultants are leading Biden to failure.

@rbreich Given that we honestly have no clue whether Project 2025 is a go or not (and everyone involved hasn’t been arrested or kicked out of their seat, or impeached) I would say Yes. We are ruined.

We simply should not be seeing the political landscape he have right now, if ANY had a shred of ethics or even common sense.

The Great Experiment died in 2020 when priority was more important to us than remembering that any elected official is a citizen first, and not above the law.

@arstechnica I have no trust in anything that ketamine-fueled buffoon has to say.

Stop legitimizing that nitwit just because "daddy’s blood-money boy” lucked into tech.
