while they're roughly the same age, Trump is biologically older > i blame the drugs!

@rbreich While both candidates are old, one is able to say “you’re too old.” While the other mumbles something about brothers and sisters and incest. If democrats want to win, then CHANGE THE GUY RUNNING. Then the person running can hopefully say “You’re old Trump!” Our guy can’t do that right now!

@rbreich If Biden can’t convince voters he’s competent, he won’t be any use in negotiations affecting global security and climate change. I have nothing against him, but I vote for policies not personalities. Essential to move on now: plan for someone else or STFU.

In the how old is to old argument, I think of a colleague - Frank. A dynamic Chemical Engineering Prof who taught the nuances of mathematical Fluid Dynamics to students until age 84 when he retired to take care of family. He was a dynamo and an innovator who loved to teach.

There is no too old until you feel too old.

@rbreich It completely depends on mental elasticity. Sanders is old, but he is still sound. Frankly, if he were running today, I’d vote for him still - age notwithstanding.

I don’t care how old (or not) you are. If you cannot adapt to the times - if your mindset is stuck in decades’s old assumptions (Biden, Obama, Clinton), then you are too old.

We have been in change-year politics since 2015. If the Democratic Elite can’t adapt to the needs of the current generations, they are too old.
