glimse , to Work Reform in Sex workers in Belgium to receive pension contributions and maternity leave under labour overhaul – The Irish Times

Superannuation is such a cooler name than pension

That last suggestion seems very up my alley, thanks!

glimse , to Men's Liberation in Are Men Okay? – SOME MORE NEWS

I don't mind a good takedown video but I'm not big on alcoholism as the punchline. "I drink because I'm so angry about this" just doesn't resonate with me

But in his defense, his fans LOVE that presentation style and he's catering to them.

I also had no idea he was in the Behind The Bastards crew! I wanted to check it out but I only drive for like 20 minutes twice a week (and that was my podcast time)

I'm happy to see someone express that opinion. I have so much in common with this guy's stance on things (and even a lot of the bitterness) but I just can't stand watching him. I really, really don't like the "I'm hungover and angry" schtick and it makes it hard to watch.

glimse , to Work Reform in Every damn day

Not the point...and the guy I was replying to posted the link already. My issue is that posting a screenshot without the article means you have to then look it up

glimse , to Work Reform in Every damn day

It's one step above "memes" that are just text. I include Lisa Simpson/Spiderman on stage and similar templates in that category of garbage posts

glimse , to Work Reform in Every damn day

One of my biggest social media pet peeves. A screenshot of a headline is a useless post. They either took the screenshot and chose to not include the link or - more likely - they copied it from some Instagram page

glimse , to Work Reform in What kind of institutional gaslighting is this?

I mean it's understandable that they didn't give everyone 6.5% raises. That's a pretty huge raise

glimse , to Work Reform in What kind of institutional gaslighting is this?

I've got my feelers out there but I'm gonna stick it out here for another year - currently working on a certification to switch to a higher-paid position and the company is paying for it

glimse , to Work Reform in What kind of institutional gaslighting is this?

I've taken a pay cut two years in a row for that reason. Last year was somewhat understandable with the insane inflation but this year kind of stung

glimse , to Home Improvement in Door hinge pin keeps coming up. How to solve?

Just to make sure I'm on the same page...the pin that connects the two hinge plates is coming out on its own?

You can try taking the pin out and lightly hammering the middle knuckle so it's pinches the pin more. Alternatively, hammer a slight bend in the pin.

They also make pins that go through the hinges and screw on

glimse , to Men's Liberation in 'Boys are disappearing' from mental health care, as signs of depression and anxiety go undetected

I agree with the first paragraph as my own experience with a much-needed year of therapy left me in debt

I disagree with the second sentence entirely. Even my very conservative father supported me going. There’s tons of terrible men in this country but we need to stop perpetuating the myth that every man in the US has a fratboy mentality.

glimse , to Texas in Texas’s San Antonio airport will get a 420lb autonomous security robot

Each has their strengths so why not both?

glimse , to Texas in Texas’s San Antonio airport will get a 420lb autonomous security robot

That’s what they say it’s for. I’m sure its cameras and sensors won’t be turned off between alarm checks
