@georgetakei As you know there have been breakfast soups across east and south Asia through history, like
okayu (お粥)
juk (죽)
zhou (粥)
congee (கஞ்சி)
and so many more.
Love making mine with brown rice, ginger, lemon grass, garlic, and a good chicken broth. Yum. Send Adam my way and I'll make a fresh batch.
@georgetakei Most of a full English soup. Actually I don't like baked beans, tomatoes or mushrooms, but bacon and sausage soup with a poached egg floating in it would be interesting.

@georgetakei 500g beans, 1 onion chopped, 3-400g cheap stew meat, whatever left over meat juices you have in the fridge, 1 liter water, salt, misc. veggies & peppers. Crock pot overnight or so. Serve over rice.
Been eating breakfast this way for 40 years or so, still thriving.
