I've tried scrubbing it several times with bar keepers friend soft cleanser and although it improves, it never goes away completely and it always comes back....
Almost any store that sells general canning / food preservation supplies will have food grade citric acid crystals. If you're in a part of the world that has Walmart, Target, etc, then those types of places will usually have it. Grocery stores often have it. Sometimes it's considered a seasonal item and is only stocked during times of the year when people are doing lots of canning (i.e. spring through fall).
My experience wasn’t quite that bad, but still sucked. It took about 4.5 hours to get to my perfect spot. I left within an hour or two after the eclipse was over, and then it something like 8+ hours to get home due to excessive traffic.
It wouldn’t have changed my choice, but I would have appreciated a warning that post-eclipse traffic could/would be extreme because it wasn’t something I had even thought about. Figured it might be a little heavier, but wasn’t expecting that much.
So this time around, I’ve mentioned it to folks who are planning to travel to see it.
This happens a lot: I apply for a job and they ask for my complete address. Why? I would understand if they just want to know what city/town I’m in: That has bearing on how easily I can get to the office....
The advancement of weather prediction has kinda ruined this. I know in the morning exactly at what time it’s going to rain/snow.
That’s definitely not the case in my part of the world, particularly in the case of wintery weather predictions and definitely not true down to the hour. So, let US have this enjoyment when it does actually snow, because it could very well be that the weather people didn’t even mention the possibility of snow today or they said it would only be a small chance of flurries but we got enough accumulation to actually build a snowman or they said it was going to be sleet but it turned out to be snow or 3 days ago they were predicting that it was going to be unseasonably warm or they said it was not going to snow until after sunset.

This happens a lot: I apply for a job and they ask for my complete address. Why? I would understand if they just want to know what city/town I’m in: That has bearing on how easily I can get to the office....
