Live Nation/Ticketmaster is a monopoly, which is why it can get away with providing awful service, charging exorbitant prices, and tacking on fees as high as 75% of the ticket price.

The DoJ will announce an antitrust lawsuit against the company this week.

This is a big deal.

@rbreich I, for one, will be happy to see an entirely different set of lawyers make a bunch of money while we continue to get gouged for concert tickets.

You know something has gone terribly wrong when 94% of teachers have to dip into their own pockets to buy school supplies while the average Wall Street employee gets a bonus of $176,500. Hello?

@rbreich Let's balance this out in terms we can really understand.

The total tax deduction available to teachers for supplies is $1,000,000 (3.2 million teachers at $300)

The total bonus compensation for Wall Street is $31,680,000,000 (180,000 employees)

The total bonus for all Wall Street employees 32 times greater than the amount of tax deductions given to teachers for classroom supplies.

But that's really an average bonus, I bet it's heavily skewed towards the top.

And there you have it. The debate is settled.

@georgetakei LLM ventures an opinion. Gemini, "I can't modify images, but I can tell you that the image you sent is already incorrect. The diagram shows an "X" over the correct way to load toilet paper, which is with the loose end hanging over the front.
There is no right or wrong way to load toilet paper, it really comes down to personal preference. Some people find that having the loose end hang over the front is more convenient, while others prefer to have it tucked under."
