@georgetakei , what's the point of this whole process if they can just blatantly lie? Say whatever you want, get the position, then do whatever you want regardles of what was said consequence free. When they do these cross examinations, is it under oath? If yes, why is it not perjury, a violation of an oath of office? Why is this government by the peolle for the people, not at all?

@georgetakei Beyond that disgusting and humiliating act, my other biggest fear is other people would think I was racist if that happened to me. That be would definitely be a good reason to go no-contact with a parent if I ever saw one. I would never allow myself to be in that position again.

@georgetakei Don't you realize how persecuted and oppressed these tough heterosexual men are? They're so stoic as well! No being able to get married or see their spouse in a hospital for the longest time! Getting bullied and beaten up for being heterosexual cis-males! If they only had some representation in the government! /s

@arstechnica , I canceled my Prime only to have Amazon go ahead and continue charging me. I got an email that my Prime was reactivated contacted customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. I have been happily without an Amazon account for years now. My account had 2FA as well. What a shocking and frustrating email that was while I was at work.

The Supreme Court's "code of ethics" has no enforcement mechanism and no way for the public to lodge complaints of misconduct.

SCOTUS Justices are being allowed to police themselves, which they've already proven they can't do.

Is it any wonder why Americans don't trust them?

soundconjurer ,
@soundconjurer@mstdn.social avatar

@rbreich , I don't like or trust any politician. There's no way someone gets in their position without shiving everyone else along the way. We see it what it looks like everyday as our resources become harder to acquire so the corporate class can add another piece of paper to their pile.

Present company not excluded.
