The legal immigration system is a nightmare. I was almost ready to get legal status twice, but my dad decided to drop the cases both times. The first time, I was a minor and it would have meant I would have become a citizen pretty quickly.

In these situations, it really sucks because your sponsor is not always looking out for your best interests.

No, thanks.

This is one of the reasons I learned English, in the first place. To interact with a wider, more diverse group, and so that my irl people won't be able to enter this safe haven (they only speak Spanish).
