Did you subscribe through Apple’s app store or the Google play store? If you did I think you need to cancel it through the subscription pages of those apps.
Honestly I don’t remember, but its a good guess. I only have access to Android, and the Reddit subscription is not there. Also checked Paypal, but nothing there either. Still i’d expect the reddit profile to be of more help about this. I’ve had to make a support ticket to ask them, but I don’t even know when or where I’ll get an answer from them
Curious. I'm reasonably sure the option should be either in the settings right where you took that screen shot or under the subscriptions section in the Google Play app store.
When you are charged for premium, what does the charge show as on your account? Cause when I pay for a subscription through Apple, it is Apple that charges my bank and my receipt tells me why. I would imagine it would be the same with other providers so knowing who is charging your bank account will tell you where the charge is coming from
At least ChatGPT is a more polite than the toxic, racist & sexist shit that remains on Reddit. Scrolled through /r/all this morning and was appalled by some of the toxic comments in the various submissions. I also noticed some sockpuppets somehow spewing the same bullshit opinion about certain topics, using the literal same type of phrasing too, just in different comment chains and with different accounts.
Honestly, probably better for my blood pressure to stay away from most of it.
He's a CEO precisely because he does things like this. CEOs are selected for maximum profitability at the detriment of literally everything else. That's also why psychopathy is way more widespread among CEOs than the general population.
Op, do you just hate fun? most of these are pretty cute or funny and just because they're not the most efficient design doesn't mean they're not allowed to exist?
Not using it at all would be better, sure, but if you don't have that option for whatever reason, reusing it is the next best thing. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.
You raise a great point about comments being seen as a counter by default. And if you try to give a disclaimer in your comment (like saying you agree) you still get downvoted for some reason. I'm very cautious about participating in any serious topics because of this, jokes, one-liners and sharing (unimportant) personal experiences are pretty much the only safe comments.
Come on over to Beehaw, where we don't have downvotes, then!
It forces people to actually take time and effort to disagree with you, rather than just hitting one button, and somewhat unsurprisingly, that deters a lot of "drive-by" negativity.
