I do not understand how ‘illegal striking’ and serfdom are not synonymous.

There’s no such thing as an “illegal” strike. There are “unlawful” strikes which just means the strike is not protected by the NLRA, so the employer would be free to fire the strikers without legal repercussions.

Not for striking, but likely for trespassing or participating in a picket line. You can’t be arrested for simply deciding to not work.

They’re asking for a one time 5k bonus. Never do that, over a career you’ll be better off having asked for an additional 150$/year in your salary than a one time bonus which won’t count when calculating the next raise. That’s usually something the employer offers to shut up people who don’t know better and make them vote in favor of the new contract, it’s not something the employees ask for.

I was wondering why trash didn’t get picked up. Good on them though. We couldn’t afford the house we live in now if we had to rebuy today. House prices have really shot up in the last 10 years.
