Is reddit really that unaffected? Are tech media companies keeping quiet on purpose? Is the Play app giving more artificial visibility to reddit app VS fediverse apps? It feels like all the mainstream centralized social platforms and search engines (Google) are censoring any updates on reddit's status to maintain a status quo....

I realized that there are alot of inactive communities across the Lemmy and kbin instances. The beauty of decentralization is that we don't rely on a central instance, if a fediverse instance becomes the central one that hosts the majority of posts, then if that instance goes down, we lose alot. how do I add communities like [email protected] to my feed on kbin? I copy and paste the name as i have it here into the search bar on kbin but nothing comes up. ( kbin.social )

On the desktop version of the site i can just put the name after m/ in the URL (sans !) and i can sub from there. but how do i do this from the pwa i use on my phone?
