If he keeps this up, he’ll drag the entire Republican Party down with him in 2024.

Promise?

The right wing will always use stochastic terrorism as a means to intimidate.

Is there a way to criminally charge them for stochastic terrorism? First amendment protection ends at the point where people are being hurt. For example, You cannot legally start a riot or order crimes without consequences.

He posted Barack Obama’s current address...Shortly after Trump’s post, Tyler Taranto showed up with a machete, two guns, and 400 rounds of ammunition.

Friday morning came the related news that federal prosecutors working on the classified documents case against Trump are facing threats from MAGA-heads.

The playbook all along. Rhetoric that Doxxes prosecutors...Obama. Something organized crime would do. How can we think that prosecutors are going to work impartially if their lives are threatened, or that someone isn't going to act against a politician? Trump is unhinged.

He's acting pretty rationally trying to get people killed. If Obama was killed, what sort of message would that send to his followers, to his opposition, and to prosecutors?

The single death that could have supercharged his stochastic terrorism.

Actually In hindsight, it is enormously optimistic to assume the ‘conservative’ party existed in more than name only by the time 2024 comes around.

Americans will have to choose between a moderate conservative party and a radical right party in the 2024 elections.
Thanks to Duverger's law and the moving of the Overton window rightward, we no longer have viable left-wing options. If we can get ranked-choice voting or similar, most of these problems with political parties will evaporate as viable alternatives emerge on both sides and elected officials are forced to work together and compromise.
