@arstechnica We've had a century of risk assessment with AI. The basic principles developed the THREE times AI has been at the forefront of our collective zeitgeist as as follows:
0) When in doubt replace "AI" in any statement with "Machine"
A machine cannot be held responsible for any actions it takes.
The person who WILL be held responsible is the person who set the machine's actions in motion.
A failure to understand how the machine works is considered negligence
